On August 15th, an Argentine empanada party will take place in appreciation to those who have already contributed to the Ghana Highschool Project and to share the good news with other friends who have not yet had the opportunity to be involved. You may see the invitation attached. Please email us for more information (although we cannot share the secret empanada recipe ;)

EMPANADAS AND MALBEC FOR GHANA
|
|
Hosts: Sara Weber and Silvia Morgan
Location: Sara and Bob's House
When: Saturday, August 15, 4:00pm
|
As Silvia Morgan's students and friends, we already know that she is devoted to helping girls in Ghana finish their high school education. Now, we can join forces with her and Women to Women International, with the goal of sponsoring new students for the upcoming school year.
Silvia will make her specialty, Argentine "empanadas", paired with Argentine wines, and accompanied with salads, appetizers, "chimichurri", and Argentina's favorite dessert, "dulce de leche" ice cream.
This will be a casual get-together with friends with no set base donation. We'd rather have you decide how much you'd like to contribute once you find out more. The project website and photos of the school will be at hand for anyone interested in learning more. But there will be no speeches, auctions or presentations, just good food, music and wine.
Nos vemos (see you there),
Your hostess, Sara Weber
All donations will sponsor high school girls in Ghana, West Africa. As this is a project of "Women to Women International", all donations are fully tax deductible to the extent permitted by law and each donor will receive a letter stating the amount of their donation. Silvia Morgan is a Spanish teacher as well as the CEO of the Ghana School Project for Women to Women International (a 501.C3 not-for profit corporation in the state of California)
