Women to Women International is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of California, managed by its president Michel Nellis with oversight from a board of directors.
Since its inception in 1992 the organization has focused on the education of women, whether by training them to become entrepreneurs or helping them achieve their educational goals.

Our Vision |

Women to Women International assists other women to achieve their educational and business goals by building schools, providing scholarships and supplying instruction and training to teachers and students in selected impoverished communities.
We select existing educational programs that can assure us of a high degree of academic success for the women and girls involved. We monitor the use of funds for the purposes intended by networking with local agencies who have a presence in the communities selected.

Our History |

The first projects involved traveling to Russia and the Ukraine to hold professional training seminars utilizing American professional women as the trainers and building one-on-one relationships with the students. Once the seminars concluded, the women involved continued receiving aid through numerous means such as materials, suggested courses, and networking opportunities.

The situation of women is marked by exploitation on all levels. From childhood on the girls work in the house, fetch water, cook, wash, clean, farm, take care of the children etc. Women and girls are the most deprived group in the diocese. Education in general is lowest in this part of the country and education of women for that matter is still lower. Successive governments have always neglected this area, and women development has consequently suffered greatly. There are very few educated women from the indigenous tribal groups in the diocese.

Ghana Highschool Project |

Silvia Morgan has brought to us our present project. As the CEO of our Ghana Highschool Project, she researched a highschool in Ghana, West Africa. This school has been identified as meeting the requirements we have established for our organization. More specifically, a boarding school with a strong humanities and business curriculum which serves 153 girls at present. New students are being tested for the September 2010 school year. The goal is to allow the school to board and educate a total of 160 female students, offering them a chance to improve their chances in life.
